At DataCamp, we believe students learn best by being hands-on—interacting with Cloud software and solving real-world problems. Consequently, our cloud courses are designed to combine short videos with interactive exercises, creating an engaging, practical learning experience. Each course is designed to cover a similar amount of material as a 4-hour workshop.

Course Structure

A typical cloud course contains:

  • Three chapters, each with three to four lessons.

Lesson Structure

Each lesson serves as the building block of the course and follows this structure:

  1. Conceptual Video:

    • A short 3–4-minute video introduces key concepts.

    • Videos provide the foundational knowledge needed for the exercises.

  2. 2–4 Interactive Exercises (with a minimum of 2 Cloud Exercises):

    • Exercises reinforce the learning objective(s) covered in the video.

    • Interactive Focus: Non-interactive exercises, such as multiple-choice questions, should be used sparingly to maintain engagement.

Key Considerations

  • Learning Objectives: Each lesson must have at least one clear learning objective that is tested in the associated exercises.

  • Interactivity: The emphasis is on hands-on, practical exercises to deepen understanding and build skills in a real-world context.
